On the last Wednesday of every month, workshop original material under the guidance of an experienced clown coach. The evening will begin with a warmup game and then each of the 5 act gets 30mins of “stage time” and coaching. Auditors are welcome to join the workshop, they play the opening game and then get to observe material being developed and worked. Everyone learns!

Ralf Jean-Pierre aka Precious Gorgeous (he/him/his) is a first generation Haitian-American rapper-songwriter, actor, and comedian from Brooklyn, NY. Precious Gorgeous earned a BFA from the Savannah College of Art and Design and has studied at Dance New Amsterdam, The Actor’s Movement Studio, the People’s Improv Theater, and clown with Christopher Bayes, Virginia Scott, and Eric Davis. In 2012, Ralf rode his bicycle around the United States, performing a one-man Shakespeare on the street. He and his collaborator Jolie Tong developed a one-man show chronicling the tour called WHAT SHOULD BE THE FEAR. Precious Gorgeous has 4 released records: Tryna Get My Live Together, Everyone Dies From a Bullet vol 1, TRIP and Brooklyn Petting Zoo.Ralf is also an ensemble member of FIZGIG Studio’s Commedia Company and the acclaimed hip-hop improv team North Coast. Ralf is currently teaching acting and comedy as an adjunct professor for the Brooklyn College BA and BFA Theater programs, and at Columbia University’s MFA Theater program.

Tyler West (he/him/his) is a New York City-based artist and performer. He is originally from Tucson, Arizona where he graduated from The University of Arizona with a B.F.A. in Acting. His career began by watching a Cirque Du Soleil show and he became hooked on wanting to become a professional clown. He would study clowns on Youtube and make funny faces at himself in the mirror.

Since then he has studied under clown mentors like Philippe Gaulier, Aitor Basauri, David  Shiner, Stefan Haves, Amy G, Julia Proctor, Eric Davis & Sophie Ameva. Performing credits include La Clique, Stamptown, Bindlestiff Family Circus, The Slipper Room, The Box, and The House of Yes.
